If you’ve got a smallholding, or about to start a smallholding, then at some point or other you may need to get in touch with one or more of organisations listed below:

To register your smallholding. Your first point of  call is likely to be DEFRA as you may need to register your smallholding. There are various rules that apply, so it will probably be a lot easier and quicker if you call their helpline, and you probably won’t find the answers that you are looking for on their website anyway.
